With over fifteen years of experience in the food industry, Mitzi Elkes, President of JEMS International, offers a unique blend of regulatory expertise. She has a broad-base of experience in the compliance of food products, ranging from food ingredients and additives to standardized and non-standardized finished foods.

Prior to forming JEMS International, Ms. Elkes organized and managed the regulatory group at Givaudan-Roure, the flavor and fragrance subsidiary of Hoffman La Roche, for eight years. Prior to her tenure at Givaudan-Roure, Mitzi Elkes managed the Technical Service Department for Felton International, also a flavor and fragrance company, for four years.

Ms. Elkes received an M.B.A. in International Business in 1989 from Baruch College of the City University of New York. She graduated from Purchase College of the State University of New York in 1989 with a B.S. in Chemistry. She also obtained a certificate in French in 1976 from the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland.

Ms. Elkes is a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Food Technology Food Laws and Regulations Division, Food and Drug Law Institute and Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
